Shaw Lane housing details go before planning committee

Reserved matters for 88 homes east of Shaw Lane, including affordable housing, went to Shropshire Council's Southern Planning Committee.

Detailed plans for 88 new homes on land east of Shaw Lane were considered by Shropshire Council's Southern Planning Committee on 26 May.

What reserved matters means

This is a reserved matters application. The principle of building on the site is decided at the outline stage; reserved matters cover the detail that was left for later, such as the layout of the estate, the look of the houses, landscaping and access within the site.

The scheme

The 88 dwellings are a mix of homes for sale on the open market and affordable housing. Shaw Lane runs past Albrighton Medical Practice, so the scheme sits close to one of the village's busiest services.

This is a separate site from the much larger Albrighton South (Patshull Road) proposal now with the Secretary of State.
