Persimmon Homes West Midlands has begun work on Florent Gardens, 88 homes on land east of Shaw Lane, including 17 affordable homes and a path to St Mary's school.

Christmas lights switch-on and fayre set for Thursday 26 November

Albrighton's Christmas lights go on at 6pm on Thursday 26 November, followed by a new tree lighting and carols on the Village Green. The High Street will close to traffic for two hours.

Remembrance Sunday parade and service on Sunday 8 November

Albrighton will mark Remembrance Sunday on 8 November with a parade to the War Memorial and a two-minute silence at 11am. Rolling road closures will be in place on Newport Road and the High Street.
