Police appeal after knife-point robbery at the Co-op

A cashier was threatened with a knife and cash was taken from the till. Police want to trace a man who may have seen what happened.

West Mercia Police are appealing for help after an armed robbery at the Co-op on Albrighton High Street.

What happened

At around 9.45pm on Friday 21 August a man came into the shop, threatened a member of staff at the till with a knife, took cash and ran off. The cashier was badly shaken but was not physically hurt.

Who police want to trace

Officers have released an image of a man who was in the area at the time. They believe he may be a witness with important information, and are asking him, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch. The image is on the original news report and the West Mercia Police website.
